Fujian, China - January 6, 2025 – HSCC and Toray Group have signed a strategic cooperation agreement at HSCC’s headquarters in China. This agreement marks an important step towards collaboration in the nylon 6 chemical recycling industry and advancing eco-friendly textile solutions.
A shared vision for sustainability
The partnership will focus on developing chemically recycled and differentiated nylon products. Together, the two companies will create a joint technology platform to provide global partners with high-quality recycled products, supporting the textile industry's shift towards sustainability and efficiency.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Mei Zhen, Vice President of HSCC, emphasized the progress made in nylon chemical recycling. "The successful launch of our pilot line last April marked a significant milestone. This agreement will help us build a closed-loop Textile-to-Textile (T2T) recycling system to better address the challenges of textile and plastic waste."
Mr. Kenichiro Miki, Chairman of Toray Group, expressed his admiration for HSCC’s environmental protection ambitions. "HSCC’s remarkable progress in T2T recycling is inspiring.
