Recently HSCC chemical recycling pilot plant inauguration was successfully held, with the Group President Chen Zhong, Fibrant CEO Martijn Amory, R&D director Marijke Groothaert and other team leaders attending the ceremony.
HSCC chemical recycling project, supported by the self-developed patented caprolactam regeneration technology, aiming to achieve thorough recycling and reuse of waste chemical products and accomplish key steps for recycling nylon yarn, has acquired 7 patents in Europe till yet. During the process, waste fishnets, waste fiber, fabric scraps, engineering plastics and the like are recycled by means of de-polymerization to get the CPL monomer, which are then polymerized to produce high-quality spinning grade PA6 chips to further process into yarn and fabrics. With 78% carbon emission lower than out of nylon 6 yarn with virgin materials, its carbon emission reduction leads in the industry, contributing remarkably to environment conservation and demonstrating a pioneering example in the industry. Currently the industrialization of group chemical recycling project is in process in Lianjiang base, it’s expected to plug the domestic technical gap in the chemical recycling post-consumer sources.

In the President Chen Zhong’ s address, he mentions that the recycling pilot plant startup is not only a key step in chemical recycling project, but a brand-new starting point, which will equip the future smooth production of recycling project Phase I with reliable technical supports. In the days to come, Highsun will become an all-round solution provider for nylon regeneration, continuously creating a promising future with sustainable developments.
