Every year, over 92 million tons of textiles are discarded globally. This waste not only pollutes the environment but also poses a significant challenge to the textile industry. While traditional recycling methods often result in "downcycling," a true transformation requires enabling every garment to reenter a high-quality lifecycle indefinitely.

HSCC has achieved genuine virgin-grade recycling through depolymerization technology, making breakthroughs in chemical recycling. We have also established a comprehensive multi-level recycling system and implemented more carbon-friendly solutions through mechanical recycling.

What is T2T Recycling?

The T2T (Textile to Textile) closed-loop recycling system, as a circular economy strategy, emphasizes the whole life cycle management from product design, production, consumption to disposal, aiming to maximize resource utilization and minimize environmental pollution. As a subcategory of closed-loop recycling, T2T specifically refers to the process of directly converting waste textiles into new textiles after recycling.

What is Chemical Recycling?

In the T2T closed-loop recycling system of nylon, chemical recycling technology plays a crucial role. Compared with mechanical recycling, chemical recycling can handle more complex and mixed wastes. It depolymerizes waste nylon into monomers or oligomers through specific chemical reactions, and these basic materials can then be repolymerized into high-quality nylon chips. This process not only realizes the effective recovery and reuse of resources but also significantly improves the quality and performance of recycled materials.

By building a complete Textile-to-Textile (T2T) closed-loop recycling system covering mechanical recycling and chemical recycling, HSCC achieves complete recycling of waste chemical fiber products. This system contributes to reducing carbon emissions and total emissions in the industry, promoting the development of the circular economy. Chemical recycling is a key link in building the nylon 6 closed-loop recycling system. Chemically depolymerizing nylon 6 waste into caprolactam monomers ensures that recycled products maintain the same quality as virgin products.

On January 6, 2025, HSCC signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation with Toray Group, focusing on HSCC's independent research and development of nylon chemical recycling technology, and jointly building a T2T closed-loop recycling system for recycled nylon, providing comprehensive solutions for the recycling of waste textiles and waste plastics.
On April 22, 2025, HSCC reached a strategic cooperation with Ambercycle, a polyester T2T chemical recycling company, to carry out comprehensive cooperation in the fields of waste recycling, engineering, recycling ecosystem and standards.
